TIA joins ACRI to support the research infrastructure workforce

Therapeutic Innovation Australia is proud to have joined the Academy for Collaborative Research Infrastructure (ACRI) as an institutional member.

ACRI is a newly established, independent not-for-profit organisation with a mission to support the research infrastructure workforce in Australia. It aims to provide professional development tailored to the needs of facility staff, advocate for stronger career pathways, and foster a national community for knowledge sharing and peer support.

Adjunct Professor Sach Jayasinghe, ACRI’s Executive Director, introduced the Academy at the recent 2025 TIA Forum. With close to 200 members already, ACRI is positioning itself as a collective voice for the sector, offering a platform to advocate for systems change, and to provide new opportunities to connect, upskill, and build the leadership and management capabilities that are critical for running world-class facilities.

TIA’s Scientific Adviser to the Board, A/Prof Stella Clark AM GAICD, is also a member of ACRI. Her involvement reflects the importance of this initiative in strengthening the broader research infrastructure ecosystem and the staff who make it happen.

By becoming a member of ACRI, TIA strengthens its commitment to supporting the people behind Australia’s research infrastructure, those whose specialised skills help enable impactful, collaborative science.

We look forward to being part of this growing community.
