Funding & Subsidies

TIA operates a consortium of translational health research capabilities. These capabilities receive funding to enable development of new facilities and purchase of world-class laboratory equipment. In return these capabilities offer subsidised access to meritorious public sector researchers. Details of the terms to which the capabilities have agreed to provide subsidised access are available on our Access and Pricing page.

TIA also operates funding programs which offer significant additional facility-based subsidies. One such program provided $3M to the cell therapy sector and in doing so supported 26 clinical trials. Funding through this program was capped at $100,000 per research project per year and was reviewed through our Expert Advisory Committee.

Details on new programs that offer similar funding will be posted on our website and advertised in The Australian. To join our mail list which will also receive notification of new programs email Dr Anneliese Gillard on
